Privacy Policy
Practice Past Papers, operated by ResiliaTech. Last updated 14 August 2026.
Practice Past Papers helps students revise for ZIMSEC examinations with real past-paper
questions, timed mocks and a syllabus-grounded AI tutor, on the web and in our Android app.
This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do.
Who we are
ResiliaTech, Harare, Zimbabwe. Contact:
support@resiliatech.com.
Information we collect
- Phone number. Used to identify you and to deliver one-time login codes by
SMS. There are no passwords.
- Display name and study profile you provide: the name you choose, your
level (Grade 7, Form 4 or Form 6) and the subjects you pick.
- Your practice activity: the questions you attempt, the answers you give,
scores, mock results and streaks. This is what makes your progress reports work.
- Questions you ask the AI tutor, so it can answer and so we can review
answer quality.
- Guardian links. If a parent or guardian links to your account, we record
that link and their phone number so they can follow your progress and pay for you.
- Purchase history: the payment reference, amount and status returned by our
payment providers when a subscription is paid. We record the reference, not your payment
instrument.
- Notification tokens for the Android app, so we can send you practice
reminders and service notices.
- Basic technical logs (timestamps, error records) needed to operate and
secure the service.
What we never collect or do
- We never see or store your card numbers, bank details or mobile-money PIN. Subscription
payments are authorised by you, with PayPal or Google Play, on their own screens.
- We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use your practice activity for advertising.
- We send service messages such as payment confirmations and practice reminders. We do not
send marketing messages you did not ask for.
How we use your information
Only to run the service: to identify you at login, to keep your practice history and progress
reports, to answer your AI tutor questions from our syllabus content, to process your
subscription, to show a linked guardian your progress, to send service notices such as payment
confirmations and reminders, and to keep the service secure and working.
Who we share it with
- A parent or guardian you are linked to sees your progress and payment
records, as the link is intended.
- Our SMS delivery provider transmits one-time login codes and service
messages.
- PayPal processes card and PayPal subscription payments made on the web.
- Google Play processes subscriptions bought inside the Android app, and
tells us the purchase status so we can activate your subscription.
- Google Firebase delivers push notifications to the Android app.
- Our hosting provider stores the data on secured servers.
- We may disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your practice records while your account is active, so your progress history stays
available. Backups are retained for up to 30 days on our servers, with archived copies for
disaster recovery. If you ask us to delete your account we remove your personal data within 30
days, except where we must keep payment records for accounting purposes.
Security
Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to the administration tools is restricted, requires a
separate staff login with two-factor authentication, and privileged actions are logged. Databases
are backed up nightly to encrypted storage.
Your rights
You may ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you
can stop using the service at any time. Email
support@resiliatech.com and we will respond within
30 days.
Children and students
Practice Past Papers is a study tool used by school-age students, including children under 18.
We collect only what the service needs, as listed above; we do not use children's information for
advertising and we do not sell it. A parent or guardian may link to a student's account to follow
progress and pay, and may contact us at
support@resiliatech.com to see or delete their
child's information.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the date above.
